The resources we offer our clients include:

  • Heuristics database: includes nearly 5000 principles, heuristics, and specifications to improve the sustainability of built facilities. Knowledge is classified by life cycle phase, scale, source, as well as by other indicators.

  • Sustainability definitions: includes over 200 definitions of sustainability from published literature, including source citations and key words.

  • SFI bibliography/Virtual Library: includes citation information, author abstracts, reviewer comments, and location information.

  • Sustainability Facilities Indicators: based on a comprehensive analysis of existing measurement tools from around the world, this database contains a listing of over 150 different indicators used in current assessment tools.

  • Sustainable Building Image Library: contains hundreds of images from a variety of sources that illustrate sustainable construction, design principles, and technologies.

  • Sustainable Facility Case Studies Database: contains case studies in a standardized format that describes sustainability features, project specifics, data, costs, and benefits.

  • Physical Library: includes over 1500 catalogued books, articles, software, videos, and other resources about sustainable facilities and infrastructure.

  • Sustainable Materials Library: includes samples, displays, and product literature for materials from all 16 CSI divisions.

  • Training Curricula: for Graduate, Undergraduate, and Professional Development courses

  • Published Resources: collection includes papers, technical reports, and various training materials
