Command-wide Sustainability Training, Organizational Opportunity Assessment, and Integrated Strategic PlanningThis multi-year project, sponsored by the U.S. Air Force Reserve Command, began in 2000 with the delivery of sustainability training in conjunction with organizational opportunity assessment at all 12 U.S. Air Force Reserve Command installations around the United States plus staff and executive level training at the Headquarters level. It has resulted in standardized and command-wide implementation of sustainability for Reserve Command installations along with a research agenda for sustainable military facilities and infrastructure. The next phase of the project, to be conducted during FY2004, will entail developing sustainability strategic plans at the level of individual capital projects, installations, and command-wide. The outcome of the project will be pilot-tested, replicable processes for developing strategic plans at each of these three levels that can be applied to other projects, installations, or commands throughout the military.
