Description: To find the research needs in all EPA regions covered by the Center for Hazardous Substances in Urban Environments.

Approach: To investigate into the research needs in EPA regions 1, 2, and 3, through visits and interviews with EPA officials as well as the State Department of Environment Officials, environmental industry and other stakeholders. An assessment report on the research needs, together with the rankings of importance, will be carefully prepared, including the documentation of the typical approach to collaborating this type of research.
